FISH TALE: Anheuser-Busch
has signed up its Busch and Busch Light beer brands as the official brew of the American Bass Anglers, which operates more than 100 annual fishing events. A-B will leverage its rights in national sweepstakes, offering a weekend at a top-flight fishing lodge, and will also leverage in conjunction with local distributors. The brewer also gets signage at events, access to the ABA membership database for marketing purposes and will produce point-of-sale materials. A-B is the first beer sponsor for the tours, although Brown-Forman's Early Times Kentucky Whisky continues as a sponsor.
